Pre wedding photo shoot

Pre wedding photo shoot

Let's talk about money $$$ first.
How much extra hidden cost I have to pay before going for the photo shoot.
So, my package was $3788+ ya, so its $4053.16 nett.

Some extra cost such as booking of place, some themes that you want.
So, I'm allowed to choose 3 venues, 3 hairstyles and 3 gowns for my photo shoot.

- National Museum ($150)
You'll have to book in advance via email. The bridal shop will give you the details, so not to worry.

- Toy Museum ($50)

- Sentosa (depends on the no. of pax)
For me there's 5 of us, so $2/pax. In all, would be $10.

Firework effect theme supposed to be $160
But because I also wanna have some swing shots. The swing is also $160.
Why so expensive for swing shots? Cos they said it's dangerous for them to climb up the tress to tie the swing. yup.

So, 2 themes, given a discount rate of $300.

I want balloon shots too. You can get your own balloon from outside. But to save the hassle and in case others helium wasn't that good to withstand the whole day.
Just get from them la.10 balloons for $60.

So, I have spent $4623.10 for the whole photo shoot on that day.
Not talking about the extra photos yet ya....
I'll talk about that later....

It's trying of gowns time for the photo shoot!!!
Every girls' dream right? To try on gowns.... It's could be tiring cos the gowns are pretty heavy and can take quite some time. It's pretty fast and easy for guys. Cos the choices for guys were pretty limited though.

Many said for photo shoot, you should wear as kua zhang Exaggerating as you can. Cos you wouldn't wear it for your wedding and for other occasions ya....The assistant mentioned for photo shoot, its better not to have mermaid designs too... cos its too rigid, not much poses to take... most would be standing ones.

They do not allow photo-taking... so my sisters have to do quick shots! Didn't managed to take photos of all shots too.

A bit like curtain...

I find this quite flattering actually. Although I have slightly bigger boobs, I don't really like to show off la yah~  I'm pretty conservative I must say. Wahahahaha

So, in the end I have chosen this Victorian style gown for my National museum shoots...

Next would be a night gown....

Actually I prefer this... Forgotten if it was hot pink or red.... but somehow in the picture looks a little reddish orangey.... My sisters said its kinda boring... should choose something more weird, more exaggerating...

And so, I chose this!
It's greenish blue... with some details on the gown... It does made me look slightly slimmer la...
Wonder how will I look after makeup and hairdo with this gown.

Lastly, a short dress to be slightly more casual.
Ok, so we are all ready for photo shoot!

Our photo shoot was on the 12 Apr.... It was raining for the past few days, so we really prayed hard it would be a sunny day. And luckily it was a sunny day! so damn happy lah!

We reached there around 10plus am. And we started doing our makeups and hairdo.
Start curling my hair first...
Hairdresser was saying that my hair very thin.... not thick enough...
Need to put wig inside.... to make the bun looks even bigger... fluffy fluffy~

Eyes big big beh!

Makeup done... Should have trim my fringe a little...

The back view of my buns buns..
Looks quite cool eh

From the left.

Right view.

Hubby's hairstyle...

All ready to set off... But before we do so... we need to have a short briefing of how to pose later...
Aiya... I'm so good at it already ya~

Let's go!

Boarded their mini van.... and camwhoring time...

Accessories put on...

Big Big eyes!

Our first stop: National Museum

Pretty like this shot. Got feel got feel.

Lucky it was just a few shots outside... It was so hot and sunny... And hubby cannot stand it already.

This looks pretty sweet... I like this photo too... Got feel yah.

With hubby...

Hubby's hair look a little funny though.... super Pong...

Lucky it was a weekday... not many people in the museum...

Holding on to me...

Ok, next shot.... still at National museum...
Cos I wanna have some Mr & Mrs Smith kinda gunshots.

Let down my hair and changed into my own black basics.

Gun shot! Bang bang!

Bang bang bang bang

Shoot you!

You & you you you

Phew...

Mr & Mrs Lim!

A group shot with the photographer, makeup artist and assistant.

Anyway, oh ya I got the guns from Daiso at only $2 each!

Overall, I would say national museum is indeed a nice place for a wedding kinda feel de photo shoot, with the buildings, that kind of stairs, windows.... got feel got feel...

Next stop: Toy museum

Camwhoring in the van with my cute little tiara? Crown?

A little story for the below shots.
Both of us were in class....

Samuel Lim dozed off in class! Ooi you!

Stop daydreaming la.

起立行礼. Greetings.

Ooi you!!!

Simi tai ji?

What is he doing man??!

Let's go to the beach...

Passing his notes...

arh arh arh... no no...

Bunny is here.... come on....

Hmmmm....

Ok la...

Let's go!

Come treat you some drinks first... its a hot day out there...

Let me give you a ride...

My turn with a cute toot toot...

Rock and roll...

Let me give my friend a call....

why like that.... I just wanna call and tell my friend about...

Those days....

Overall, toy museum is a pretty small place. There's 2 storeys. You can have almost same feel de shots at The flyers too. That would be free, don't have to book.

Next shot: Swing, balloon and casual shots at Hort park.

Hairstyle not changed... just the jewellery...

a cute short dress

Push ar!!!!

Hubby loves this shot very much.
He said we were both smiling very happily and naturally.

One of the tiring shots...
Hubby have to carry him!! and its DOWN SLOPE!
We could just roll down anytime...

This was quite sweet.

The wordings were from the bridal shop.
And if you think this shot is easily taken...
YOU ARE SO SO WRONG!
With the super hot weather... Pokey grass...
And your head have to lift up... Its almost like you are doing crunches!

Marry me please? Be quick, I'm very tired already.... lol

Crunches time! 1... 2.... 1.... 2..... Lol!!!

Last stop: Sentosa.... Casual + night shot (firesparkles)

Sunset....

weird orange spotting...

Poor Samuel... Have to piggyback me...

His turn to FLY...

The bunnies reunited...

Pinch pinchhhh

My turn!

Our cute specs from Tailsman at Jurong point. 2 for $12 I think.

Miaoooooooo....

Yeah.......

Will you marry me?

This pretty cool effect capture using their shutter speed... while drawing them on the spot....
I find it pretty cool... But while drawing... we cant move ya.... so its like posing for a minute or so?

I pretty like this!

This was another super tiring pose.... I dared not put my whole weight on Sam... And I can feel he was shaky.... wahhhahahah....
First shot wasn't done properly.... so Retake ar retake.....
Imagine that pose for 2-3mins.... wahahahahaaaa......

Love is in the AIR.

Finally done.... back to studio... It was about 8plus pm already...
Started to drizzle a little... So lucky that it ended already....

Pretty cool with my long curly hair eh....

Ok, so let's talk about $$$$$ again....
I mentioned that I was given only 25 photos right?
Look at the number of photos I posted!
Ya, in all I took about 86 photos... so its like 61 more?
Supposing, 1 extra photo cost $80.
So, rightfully it should cost another $4880.

So, salesperson start to polo polosoh liao lo.... telling all sorts of packages.... discount....

And so, in the end.... I got them at $4160. 80 of them will appear in the big album.
Our album cover upgraded to a crystal something well... look way much better la...
And 2 small photo albums, 40 pictures each. 4 photo frames. Ya, something like that.
So, in all, I have spent $8782.90.

One thing about this bridal shop, they don't send soft copy of final product before printing.
And well, when I received the photo album, I saw some flaws. And they have to send back from printing again....

So, its good to insist to the bridal shop that you wanna have a look of the soft copy before printing. It saves time and $$$ for them too right?

Next would be choosing of gowns for the actual day!
I have some concepts of what gowns I wanted. I thought of having mermaid gowns... but after trying a few, I feel its really difficult to walk and sit la....
I wanted some bareback feel too.... but they don't have!!! bareback gowns... so sad....
I thought of having some gowns with more details at the neck area too, so that I wouldn't need to find necklaces to match...

But normally what you think what you want.... isn't what you get... :(
They don't have much designs of what I want.... not much toga designs.... no bareback gowns.. pretty sad...

Just a normal tube gown...

Boring plain toga...

I pretty like this Victorian style gown... got details at the neck area also...

But my sisters said kinda look like my photo shoot gown.... and the colour of the gown kinda dull too....

The gown not bad right....

3 gowns to choose from.....

Next would be evening gown...

This was actually not bad.... but light pink is just so not for 2nd march in....
Unless I have 3 march in la... then probably I'll get this...

Red flowers all over... lol...

Hot Pink~
So, in the end.......

I have chosen those princess feel.... pong pong bottom... with 3 tier cancan...

some crystals on the gowns... so its less boring...

super big right... wanted to have some short dance... but too bad... too big liao... cannot even turn la...

ok la... half bareback.... lol...

Hot pink evening gown!

Kua (Traditional Chinese Wedding Dress) for my morning tea ceremony!

That's all for the photo shoot and choosing of gowns!

Next entry on my Guo da Li 过大礼 & An chuang 安床!

Hi,

Am not too sure too, sorry.
Cos we requested for the swing shot, and they brought us there.
They mentioned tt not many places can have the swing just hook there...
